Salon Policies
By scheduling an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the following salon policies.
Booking & Appointment Policies
Cancellations
Appointments canceled less than 12 hours before the scheduled time will incur a $25 cancellation fee. Appointments may be canceled by text, email, phone, or through Booksy.
Cancellation fees may be paid via Apple Pay or Zelle (919-308-0262). If a fee is owed, you may submit payment voluntarily or wait to receive a text message with your balance. Future appointments cannot be scheduled until all outstanding policy fees have been paid.
Late Arrivals
We honor a 15-minute grace period. Arriving late may result in a shortened or canceled appointment. If your appointment must be canceled due to a late arrival, a $25 late arrival fee may apply.
Existing Client No-Shows
Existing clients who fail to show for their appointment will be billed a $75 no-show fee, payable via Apple Pay or Zelle (919-308-0262). No future appointments will be scheduled until the fee is paid. After the second no-show, you will be permanently blocked from future bookings and communication.
Services
We only provide services listed on our booking page. We do not service interlocked (latch-hooked) locs, Microlocs, Sisterlocks™, wicks, or relaxed hair. Chemical services, including hair color, are not offered.
Hair Length & Service Selection
Please book the appropriate service based on the length, thickness, quantity, and condition of your locs. Booking the wrong service may result in a shortened or canceled appointment. If your appointment must be canceled due to incorrect service selection, a $25 policy fee may apply.
New Client Deposits
All new clients are required to pay a non-refundable $75 deposit to secure an appointment.
Please note: Booksy is used only to collect deposits for new clients. Do not prepay for your service, as this may result in duplicate charges. Client deposits will be applied towards their service total.
New clients lose their $75 deposit if they no-show and are permanently blocked from future bookings and communication.
Payment of Policy Fees
All policy fees may be paid via Apple Pay or Zelle (919-308-0262). You will receive a text message if a balance is due.
Salon Guidelines
Minor Clients
Services are available to clients aged 12 and older who can remain unsupervised during their appointment. Parents or guardians should drop off eligible minors and wait in their vehicle if they choose to remain on-site. Please be prompt when picking them up.
Guests
No guests or visitors are permitted during appointments, including children.
Food & Drinks
Food is not permitted. Water is welcome.
Masks
Masks are required while receiving services due to the close proximity between stylist and client.

Gift Cards
Give the Gift of Healthy Hair Care!
Purchase a Natural Roots by Jey Gift Card for yourself or someone special. Gift Cards can be used toward any eligible service offered by Natural Roots by Jey and make the perfect gift for birthdays, holidays, graduations, or any special occasion.
Once your purchase is complete, the Gift Card will be delivered via email with a unique Gift Card ID that can be used to book an appointment through Booksy.
Conditions and Terms Apply
- Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Gift Cards may only be used for services offered by Natural Roots by Jey.
- Gift Cards must be presented at the time of service.
- Lost or stolen Gift Cards cannot be replaced.
- Any remaining balance will stay on the Gift Card for future use.
- Gift Cards may not be used to pay policy fees.
- Booking and salon policies still apply to all appointments.
